Why not just get an extension cord for the remote switch and click it with the same hand that's holding either the flash unit or shade cloth? any three-contact telephone headset extension cord from Radio Shack would do for the CS-205.

(You might also consider buying the Canon remote switch, Canon Remote Switch RS-60E3, instead. It's $10 cheaper and works exactly the same way.)
