I think we are already in face of creating new standard for DSLR. It doesn't
matter what is better os what provides ability to use 35 mm lenses as it was
before. Sales figure rule here. Right now various manufacturers sold a few
millions APS-C DSLRs and maybe a several thousands of FF ones. The situation
looks exactly like it was before II WW, when 35 mm was laugh at as worse and
less professional, but thanks to lower price and popularity it became very
soon informal standard. And so far it seems to me that we are facing similar
change, at least until someone produce FF DSLR for less than 1000 USD. This
seems unlikely in the nearest future, and even if that would happen after
few years, world market would be nicely saturated with APS-C DSLRs. By that
time FF could be just advanced format for pros and very demanding amateurs.
I might be wrong, but so far it seems to be true. But that's just my point
of view.
