I started working as a drag racing photographer around about 1975. I recall 
that a lot of the shooters were using Nikon F. There may have been one or two 
with Spotmatics, but the screw mount was basically shunned. I had a screw mount 
Mamiya and sometimes struggled with lenses. When the Pentax 6x7 came out, a 
number of the top shooters switched over to that camera. One or two shot 
Hasselblad as well. However, Nikon was clearly number one.
