Actually, hmmm, about a month since it went belly up. I fortunately had a
Circuit City extended warranty on the Samsung. They fixed it and I am picking
it
up today.

But it took them a month and I wasn't sure how good it would be when I got it
back. Although after three repairs CC will evidentially replace it. I
normally avoid extended warrantees, but for some reason with the Samsung I got
one.
;-)

So, since Sonys have very done well for me in the past, I picked one up.
Definitely had to pay more though.

I am drawing no major conclusions from this, however. Because it could have
been my wireless networking gizmo that caused the problem (black lines running
through the picture). However, it did it with the wireless off too.

But Cotty said Samsung was respected in the UK. I thought I'd mention it,
because it certainly has not always been respected in the US. Although I guess
that is changing or has changed.

Yeah, I like Sonys and Toyotas. I don't normally have brand name loyalty but
those two brands I definitely like. I don't think anything is built now as
well as it used to be, but Sonys can last a long time. Or used to. We shall see
how long this one goes.

Later, Marnie
