Teaming up with a renowned electronic manufacturer like South Corean
SUMSUNG, who can supply them with photographic sensors and more seem to me
to be the right thing to do. Pentax are certainly able to make excellent
photographic equipment, but are dependant on a continuing supply of high
quality sensors. Teaming up with Samsung makes it more convenient
coordinating simultaneous development of new cameras and sensors. To me it's
actually good news.

In the consumer electronics industry Samsung is a
brand I grew to respect a long time ago.
They have an uncanny habit of producing products
as good _or better_ than the competition at lower
prices.
This bodes well mixing them with a company renowned
for quality glass and small, reliable, feature rich
SLR's, and now DSLR's.
Could be a very good thing for us all.

Don (NOW who do I send the "petition" to?) ;-)
