My *istD has been the nearly the sole source of my photography since I got
it. I'm ashamed of the fine equipment I have sitting around going unused,
but the dslr has put my lens back to work. It's volume photography and not
fine art but fun.

Subject: we're jaded
I sometimes lurk over at the Pentax DSLR forum on http://www.dpreview.com.
It reads a little like this list did 5+ years ago--lots of people really
excited to discover how good a lot of Pentax glass really is. I think
that
with our curmudgeonly doom-saying we may be getting a little jaded here.
That said, I have found that my *istDs has rejuvenated my enthusiasm for
Pentax glass in general and for certain lenses in particular. My FA* 24mm
F2.0 makes a great moderately wide lens for indoor and low light candids,
and my FA 50mm F1.7 is by far my most used lens on my *istDs. I really
want
to go back and do some wildlife/bird shooting with my FA* 300mm F4.5.
Is anyone else experiencing a personal renaissance driven by the DSLR
revolution?

p.s., Sorry I missed the NorCal PDML meet. My daughter (8 weeks old) has
first dibs on my time right now (both photographically and otherwise).
