Trouble is, it's only ever one way, isn't it? How often have we seen religious people up in arms about books, plays, movies and so on that they don't like, but which nobody is forced to read?
In Britain recently we've had Sikhs closing down a play they didn't like, so-called Christians threatening people involved with "Jerry Springer - The Opera", Muslims and "The Satanic Verses" of course, so-called Christians and "Life of Brian". I could easily go on. If Christians were asked to deny their faith in public, what do you suppose the reaction would be? If children were asked to recite "Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim", or "There is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his Prophet", every day in schools would you still ask "how could it possibly make a difference to you what empty words you say, or not say"? It only ever works one way, doesn't it? -- Cheers, Bob > -----Original Message----- > From: P. J.
