By definition, you're an atheist if you don't believe in God. It's not
a definition used by religious people. There are atheists who wear that
label proudly. I don't have a problem with Atheists who don't believe
in God, I don't have a problem with the religious who don't try to force
their religion on others, I do have problems with proselytizers, for or
against God. I find that Atheist proselytizers tend to try to force
their beliefs with the power of the law, where as most of my experience
with religious annoyances are on a more personal level. I've gotten
quite good at making Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses uncomfortable.
It's a useful hobby.

Atheist is simply a tag religious people apply to the non-religious, ie those
who couldn't care less or really don't think about such things.
