actually, very few. at least when i was there. no one i personally know, through
'70s and '80s. by the way, during those horribly oppressive totalitarian years
i was asked to pledge allegiance to my government ... exactly twice.
in 20 years.

anyway. if you seriously think that kids of that age have ability to
form an *indepent*
opinion about things like religion, and take a stand for it... i guess
the kids here
are a *lot* more mature than we used to be -- it took me about  30 years to
reach that level.
