I use layers but not near as extensively as I expect should. I keep hitting walls where I can't proceed onto the next step without flattening the image, I run into this problem often when applying my more complex actions. I haven't yet bothered to investigate why it is. Does anyone have a pointer to a good reference/tutorial publication for learning about the nuances of utilizing layers in PS?
