As stated the istD uses CF cards. I have Sandisk 256 Ultra II's and 3 Kingston 
1g cards
and all work 
fine.
You'll find the write speed and buffer slow, thats natural for this camera. 
Thats one
thing i like about 
the D2H. Fast write and buffer, 40 jpg buffer and up to 8fps.

You can connect the camera via usb to download or as i do, a card reader. There 
are a
number out 
there. I use a Zio that i bought in 2001 and its fine.
