I'll be wanting to carry my camera and an extra lens or two while riding my mountain bike - mostly, at least for now, on the paved streets and roads. Any suggestions for the best way to carry the gear. Might like a way to use it quickly as well as travel with it in a pouch or something secured to
the bike.

When I'm just using a single lens, I find that a handlebar bag is the simplest way to go. Keeps it up high and within easy reach after stopping the bike. I use an old piece of fleece to line the bag and to keep the camera from getting scratched up in there.

It's funny how quickly that little bit of weight (camera with kit lens) adds up to making the steering feel "heavy", though... I don't know how your bike would behave if there was a handlebar bag on it which was big enough to handle the camera *and* a few lenses.
