Try it wide open for some more psychedelic effects, I sold mine because it 
didn't come up to standard. I would sell my A20/2.8 too but unfortunately 
Pentax have been too slack to provide a modern update for it.

Fringing is the worst problem for me now, my lenses are all providing better 
performance than they ever did on film because I can now effectively digitally 
counter CA, distortion and vignetting. 

There are of course advantages and disadvantages in using larger pixel sites, 
one would hope that SNR would be better and it may be but likely at the expense 
of sensitivity. I think at the moment the best compromise performance vs price 
vs weight/bulk wise is with full frame 25mm sensors and lens combinations.
