You just have to look at the ads the government ran as part of it "Help protect Australia from terrorism" campaign. Below is a screen shot from the TV ad.
http://tinyurl.com/chbj6 This was part of a video montage highlighting "suspicious", possibly terrorist like, behaviour. So now anyone with a camera & telephoto lens is worthy of distrust?! In the past I've taken the odd photo of industrial installations, as they are quite interesting. When I saw this for the first time I was gobsmacked.
