So how do you think that would play out? Cop wants to see the pics, you
tell him he'll have to come up with some legal entitlement before that
happens, and that you want to run it past a lawyer first, in any case. Now there you are, on the street. What do you think the cop might say, or what
do you think might happen next?

If the cop isn't acting within his rights, then what happens next is either the cop backs down, an a civil liberty isn't taken away, or the cop decides to hell with civil liberties and becomes one of the bad guys. If the cop is acting within his rights, whether those rights have been cooked up by bogus lawmaking or not, you have a problem.

Either way, it seems to me you'll have a problem!
Attorney's don't come cheap. As you're about to find out...

My attorney says, about illegal searches, "Refuse to let them, without a warrant. Be super polite, but refuse. Ask to see the cop's supervisor, if need be, and the cop _must_ get his immediate supervisor on the line."

Sure I will! Just to avoid my camera being searched? Just to make a point that the cop has no legal right to search me/my person without a warrant, or without just cause...etc.

No, I think not. I'm not some small-minded activist, who will take it to the highest court, just to make a legal point! Out there be dragons!
