my friend who asked me about Nikon and Canon DSLRs doesn't care what is in the viewfinder so long as he can locate the subject. the camera is supposed to do everything else, and that is the way he wants it. the reason for going to a DSLR is solely to reduce shutter lag.

I have to say that I would have no trouble at all in recommending the
Pentax DSLRs over the competition without hesitation. The scene down the
viewfinder is enough to convince most people. My mate who purchased one
is thrilled with it, and loves the fact that it's a Pentax instead of
'what everyone else has'. He likes that individuality.
