Hello,

I seem to remember this photo, or a closer crop of it. I remember the fiery eyes. Its a good shot, but maybe a closer crop like before would be better.

Hi guys,

I joined PDML a couple of weeks back but have been silent not knowing what
to contribute. I would love to comment on the PESO/PAW but I feel that my
praise would really bring no value to the table.

I am a novice and was subscribed to PDML for a few months couple of years
back when I first started taking pictures. But I never really did take many.
I recently moved to the US and find myself with more time and inclination to
take pictures so I signed up again.

I use film and haven't taken many pictures so far. Looking for feedback/pointers
on:

a) I feel embarrassed/shy of going out and taking pictures all by myself. Am I
the only one who feels this? Recently Paul S. mentioned this in relation to the
picture taken in Starbucks.

b) I joined a Merrimack Valley Camera Club last week (Andover, Massachusetts)
but they don't go out that often or at least no member seemed comfortable so
far to take me with them when they shoot.

c) I am looking for company to get some tips, pointers and help me improve my
composition lot more than just the technical details.

d) I still shoot film and do not have money to buy a digital SLR. Can I get any
decent film/slide scanner used for less than $150?

And to share a picture that I took in India:

All comments more than welcome. This was scanned from a 4x6 print using the
office scanner.

Thanks for reading a longish post.
Gaurav
