I think not.  When shooting the street speed, stealth,
unobtrusivness, as well as the ability to sometimes relate
personally and closely to the people you are photographing,
are all needed. A 'pod of any sort gets in the way.  A
photographer on the street with any sort of 'pod becomes an
annoyance, an obstruction, and separate from the environment.
