what really pisses me off in this is the cops giving this guy's name
and pic to the press - and the press choosing to publish it.
I think, whatever the offence, it is not allowed here unless there is
some overriding reason for the information to be made public.
I mean, bad enough he's arrested, but for all that humiliating
publicity! There will be enough people who saw the initial story who
never read the subsequent ones about the charges being withdrawn, that
this poor sucker will always wonder, when he's out in public, if
people are looking at him funny whether they recognize him.
Looking funny would be the least of his worries. A few years ago, when
one of the rags was whipping up a storm about child abusers, a mob
destroyed the home of a paediatrician. Female. Luckily she and her
husband (another doctor) were at work.
i hope he sues for millions, and wins.
The camera companies should be lining up to provide him with corporate
lawyers.
