Even Venezuela , who's current president sees himself as the heir to Castro, will sell Oil to the US. He needs the money to fund his own ambitions, good will has nothing to do with it.
I think you'll find that China is going to have much deeper pockets that the USA within 5 years for buying resources, I know that's where we are looking for resource sales now.
