LCD does not meet let alone exceed quality CRTS
on contrast ratio or color accuracy/gamut. Even
the worlds finest LCDS.

Yes Sony makes some even better CRTs but these
are simply incredible when it comes to display
of deep blacks and specualar highlights...

Even then, those are not really high-end CRT's, midrange really
([EMAIL PROTECTED]). And those will not match the performance of the best
20" and 23" LCD's on the market today, which don't cost all that much,
you can get a Dell 20" 16x10 format LCD for $500ish USD if you pay
attention to Dell's 1 Day sales. A 20" 4:3 LCD will match the resolution
of your Dell monitor and a 23" will exceed it (1920x1200). Either will
match the a CRT like the P991 for colour accuracy and contrast.

Also you don't normally get a Warrantee from eBay.

However, if you want a deal, look for pro 21" and 22" monitors on eBay.
I got my Cornerstone P1600 (21" [EMAIL PROTECTED], .22" dp) essentially for
free with a G3 Mac I bought a couple years ago off eBay. And that's a
Monitor that retailed for $1000-ish when new.
