My experience with IE is equally poor.  Seems that all virus type
attacks/spyware/adware/etc all trigger off IE.  I rarely use it for
anything, unless there are no alternatives and I must visit that site
(a rare occurrence).

It will be interesting to see if Microsoft chooses to ignore this
problem or actually take real steps to correct it.
