Ken, Actually, the Denali "highway" is really what it is called (got a copy of Milepost handy?) It isn't in the park at all. It is an extremely poor dirt road (well, fair gravel near the Georges) that connects the Georges parkway with the Richardson along the Alaska Range. It goes between Cantwell on the west and Paxton on the east. A few miles east of Cantwell affords, as Cory mentioned and I did earlier, a great clear view of Denali.
