really? You can buy it by the sheet... and if your
piece of jewelry is
small enough you can just use your filter. I got
my polarizing gel at
B and H I think.  Don't you use a polarizer when
you shoot color film?

Yup

The light is coming from underneath.  A flatbed is
just like using a camera
with a very narrow DOF.  If your flatbed and
subject are dust free you get
great quality stuff.

Actually, I didn't leave the lid up on one I did
of the ladybug.
