Ehm...
I gave it a little "shadow/highlight" (Photoshops CS) brightening up the
shadows (dress) very slightly, but added a little more colour (tone) to the
highlight (puts a little more grey to the white).
Then I used the "exchange colour" tool, where I really don't know what I did
exactly (I could never figure out this tool) - but the result was, that I
took away some of the very brightest parts from the hands (what I didn't
like initially in this picture was the transperancy of the skin).
Finally I cloned away some microscopic dust particles from the dress and
adjusted the whole thing very slightly using the "contrast/brightness" tool
(use this tool as little as possible - it takes away image information).
Finally I sharpened slightly (USM).
That's about it.

I'm very pleased you like the result!

I think that is almost exactly what I want.

Close, close, close, very close -- maybe exactly, but won't be sure until I
play with it myself.

Can you tell me what you did? Sort of?
