Just to set the record straight I quoted direct from Kenny boys web site. However I think you are correct, decisions regarding equipment purchase in the vast majority of cases is determined primarily by bean counters in conjunction with network engineers. In industries where peer pressure dictates that you could not possibly be serious if you or your company use PCs then Macs are likely to abound (ie design houses). Working with pre-press facilities and designers opens ones eyes, a lot of the design work (brochures adverts etc) was done on Macs and some PCs but the grunt work behind the scenes in pre-press ie file serving, big graphics work (like replacing positionals with full res graphics and colour matching), trapping, imposition, ripping was mainly the domain of PCs and high end work-stations. The BS that Kenny wrote represents a truly blinkered view and is effectively misinformation that helps no one, particularly those less well informed, I guess that's what bothers me most.
