I regret not shooting raw at our Christmas party

Last night I shot some candids at our party. I used the large jpg setting after reading a lot of this debate I thought I would save some time converting images at home. This was indoors with a flash. My settings were point and shoot (green?) with on camera flash,a FA20-35 and center weighted metering . There were a few pictures I really could have saved if shot in raw, i.e., ladies with makeup overexposed by the flash and one particularly good shot of me and some very pretty ladies where the wb was still set to tungsten from trying to photograph the Christmas tree in existing light. Maybe matrix metering would have helped but...

With jpg it was fiddle with the settings while shooting. I will shoot raw and fiddle with the image at home.
