On 4/12/05, Powell Hargrave, discombobulated, unleashed:

>OK. On a nice high quality art paper. Hang it in a nice bright sunny
>room. Will compare prints next year at this time.

I would not hang any print of any kind on a wall that caught direct
sunshine, whether it was archival or not, whether it was behind glass or
not. Direct sun on a hanging picture / print / piece of art is not IMO
suitable viewing conditions.

I have my first ever colour print from an Epson Photo Stylus made in
1998 and it is still hanging behind glass, well shaded, and it has not
faded at all.

I have many prints from the Canon hanging around the house, behind
glass, and there is no fading at all.

Someone stuck a party invite I rattled off 12 months ago on our fridge,
and looking at it, I can see it has faded a small amount.

Cheers,
  Cotty
