I have a Grundig world receiver. I'm sure they won't switch off the analogue
signal for the World Service until most of the world's population has a
digital radio, and that's likely to be some time away, surely? Besides,
other broadcasters will be using digital signals, so the radios won't be
useless - we can still listen in to Wunnerful Radio Ulan Bator (WRUB) to
hear the latest Pentax news.
It's already happening in Europe. They will do it as fast as they can.
Not sure why but there will be some financial or political imperative
in there.
