Hi Bill, very nice job. Me thinks we are probably discussing subtleties that can't be well represented by a 100k web image but here goes: The top image shows clipping only in the left shoulder, the right jaw line is close though and I think it would look better a little lower. The bottom image is very nice! I feel the forehead on the right model (nose pierced one) is a bit high but I'd bet it's just the poor quality web image. If it were me I'd bring the blacks down just a hair, but that's about all, it's a beautiful photo. I'd love to see the original file.
Nice work, you "re-learn" fast! ;-) Don > -----Original Message----- > From: William Robb [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Saturday, December 10, 2005 9:22 PM > To: Pentax Discuss > Subject: B&W Conversions > > > So, I am relearning black and white. > > http://users.accesscomm.ca/wrobb/pictures/portraits/mono1.html > > I guess step one is getting something that looks right on a monitor. > How did I do this time? > > It's about a 200k download with 2 pictures. > Thanks > > William Robb >
