get the Dimage IV, at least do yourself a favor and buy better software to run it. Minolta's software sucks.
Assuming the software for the III and IV are comparable: Do you mean the UI sucks or the performance sucks? And what 'better software' do you recommend?
I did try vuescan briefly, but I found the learning curve quite steep... -- Regards, Lucas
