Got my slides back from my first attempt at motorsports photography and
they're generally better than I expected. I definitely underestimated the
autofocus capability of the PZ-1p: Many of the shots I thought were out
of focus turned out fine. I'm guessing that the camera nailed the focus
for the exposure and that the bike had just moved by the time the mirror
came back down. (Those guys are faaaaast!)

Notes:
* The Sigma EX 300/2.8 with Pentax 1.7x AF teleconverter is a great combo.
* Fuji Sensia 400 rocks!
* 95 degree Farenheit with 95% humidity really sucks!
* Sunscreen is wonderful stuff.

The scans I've done so far have been kind of quick and dirty, but that's
the nature of journalism: everything is needed yesterday. Some of the shots
are online now at amasuperbike.com (I always go straight to the news page
at http://www.amasuperbike.com/newind.htm)
