Paal,
A new 50th anniversary LX flagship does make perfect sense. It also
explains the comparrisons of the MZ-S with the Nikon F100. The new MZ-S &
new LX would offer two professional quality-build cameras with two levels of
capability. The photographer chooses what system meets his or her needs.
It will be interesting to see if the new LX will be a film based camera,
a digital camera, or possibly offer BOTH film AND digital backs! A
revolutionary approach that would guarantee if immediate acceptance and
respect!
I don't know about the Limited lenses being built for the new LX
however. I think the larger FA* lenses would be more in line with a large
new LX while the compact Limited lenses are more in line with the compact
MZ-S. We'll have to see if Pentax continues issuing BOTH Limited and FA*
lenses!
     FA* 18mm f/2.8, 35mm f/1.4 and 135mm f/1.8 lenses are missing from a
complete FA* lineup. Limited 16mm, 22mm, 120mm, 180mm, and 250mm lenses
would be nice additions as well.
