Early samples of the MZ-S had overlapping frames. Later ones don't.

A detailed example of variation with the 20-35/4 was posted here about 2
years ago.

I've seen variation with A 50/1.7's and Tak 135/2.5's.

Aaron likes his M 28/2.8. Mine was the worst lens I've ever owned behind
that Tak. I guess one of us could be a bonehead...

They're products made of glass, metal and plastic made by people. They
vary, and so do the people who use them.
