The myth the Pentax LX didn't sell is just that; a myth. Its true that the F3 outsold
it but then the F3 is probably the most sold expensive slr of all times. When the LX
was new there were waiting lists. It was a very popular camera the first few years of
its existence. The LX is not at all rare; its common on the used market and most is
from the first few years of production. If you want a rare expensive slr try find the
Minolta XM.
