Hi,

It's not to soft, but it is a bit flat.  Try adjusting curves a little. 
Looks like some of the brighter areas are without detail, too.  Did you
shoot this as a RAW file?

The collage idea is a good one.  I was at B&N last night (I go there to
read their magazines) and was reading about how a series may make some
photos and subjects more interesting.
