Oh, I see the user benefit. I'm just not sure if it's a) a reasonable expectation, and b) makes business sense. Is backward compatibility really the USP we think it is?

I'd make a user-configurable list with lens name, focal length and max. aperture. Simply input your (most used) MF lenses once, and select when mounting to provide the body with usefull information. Could be used to further tune-up the 'green button' routine as well...
