I have bad experience with the Sigma manual focus lenses.... I'd suggest looking for a fixed focal length lens. The AF 300/4 APO Macro is a great lens for the price. And I'm not the only one on this list with that opinion. It is not "rare" but I hardly ever see them for sale.
