I agree about the survival part. I just don't know about the "grow the
K-mount" part. It is an "if".
Believe it or not, in most areas of life I'm an optimist. The reasoning
behind most of my apparent pessimism, is what I've seen Pentax do, and the
market reaction to it, since I first purchased Pentax in 1989/90.
Maybe they are comfortable in the niche they're in and thats the way it's
going to be.

Pentax may be able to leverage the Pentax brand at the high
end, but only if they get enough market share to survive.
