Hi Bob, I still have 2 LXen, I doubt I'll ever sell them but the DSLR is a different beast altogether. I bought my *ist D as soon as I was comfortable that it was relatively bug free and looked like all we would be getting from Pentax for a while. I was very keen to use my great set of K mount lenses for direct digital capture but understood and accepted the 6MP sensors limitations. What I didn't expect was that every Pentax DSLR camera released for the next few years would contain exactly the same imaging device. The *ist D is very usable however I have problems with its speed particularly the buffering due to the type of shooting I do. I really need something faster but I'm not the remotest bit interested in laying down another wad of cash until a new body offers more than a faster buffer. I also am not keen on having to adapt to different camera controls and memory cards that I don't use. A 12MP body would be nice and I'm sure would be appreciated by far more Pentax users that just you or I.
