Have you tried yours on a Pentax DSLR? I find mine (the A version)
awfully soft at the sides even at f8, when it is mounted on my *istDS.

I just took delivery of a DA14, which annoys me, since I promised myself I
would never buy a reduced image circle lens. Optically, I don't mind my A15, 
but the thing is too front heavy for my enjoyment.
