I mainly bought the 16-45 (over the FAJ 18-35, since the DA 18-55mm was not
yet available) for its 16mm end. Then I compared the DA 16-45 to the 18-55
and I find the former to be better, especially at wider end. Their prices
are so much apart that it's not easy to suggest you to go for the 16-45mm.
I find the FA 24-90 to be in the same quality class of the DA 16-45mm.
Maybe, if you plan to go for the DA 12-24 (or a comparable lens) sooner or
later, the FA 24-90mm could be a truly clever choice.
The FA 24-90mm alone is not wide enough, I'm afraid. Sure it's not wide
enough for me.
