To provide a buyer incentive... and make some more money ... ?
I've had rebates on other high-end equipment than just lenses. It's a
good deal for the distributor/dealer ... they get to use my money for
2-6 months interest free, and I get a lower price on goods. I just
received $140 worth of rebates on hard drive and monitor purchases I
made last Summer.
