Kevin's point is that there is no such thing as objective reality. The universe is probabilities. It is highly probable that 1 + 1 + 2 , and for that reason it nearly always does. But there is a very small probability that 1 + 1 = 3 , and sometimes it does. Equally, the probability that 1 + 1 = 297 is not 0, but just very small. There are no absolutes in the universe.
That is probably the most important point to grasp in trying to understand modern physics.
