Hitler was a National Socialist. They're different. It's a rewrite of history to make them the same. Stalin was a Communist, though a bit different than his predecessor Lenin. Stalin was clearly far more a totalitarian and starved to death 20 million of his own people. Mao was also a Communist, again different somewhat than Stalin and Lenin. He, his wife, and the other two members of the "Gang of Four" were responsible for the deaths of an estimated 10 to 30 million in the "Cultural Revolution" of the 1960s. Communism and socialism both take many forms. The socialism of France and Germany is clearly different than the old USSR's Communist socialism, even though they may share a common philosophical heritage.
