Power failure - in your building? Yes, Pentax recomends to make sure there's power enough for the whole operation. AFAIR you must first download a file to the CF card. This can easily be done without using the camera. That is if you've got a card reader. 2nd stage must be when the camera read the file from the CF card, right? So what happened.
