I'm not so certain about the SD cards. If the camera is the same size
as my D plus grip, the door is more than big enough for a CF card.
Either way is okay with me. But I think the size here is ambiguous.

Yes, I noticed that too.
It uses SD cards ... the storage door is SD sized, not CF sized,
unless the camera is twice as tall as the DS. The controls look nicely
laid out ... a melding of the D and DS control arrangement.
Overall, it seems quite nice. Closer to the D in size than the DS/DL
series, but that's acceptable for a high end body. The shape seems
very comfortable looking.
Now, about that switch... ;-)
