For you folks who wind up with both cameras you can get a SD to CFII adapter and standardize on SD cards. I do not know if you have to pot the adapter out of the camera to release the SD card, but if you don't that eliminates Bill's objection to CF cards.

Thats much too strong a word.

Who I really feel shafted by is SanDisk, who dinged me over 400 bucks each for my first two 1 gig cards, and then dropped the price to a hundred bucks a card after they had fleeced the early adaptors.

I've also seen and heard about a lot of damaged CF card slots knocking equipment out of use. Those pins are really easily damaged. Funnily though, we had a Memory Stick slot damaged by someone managing to bend the wire contact on it.


They should have designed it to take both types.


That would be ideal.
