G'day Shel (take a deep calming breath) :-), In regards to the warranty. Make sure that they fill out and send you a "Pentax International Warranty Certificate" and you should be covered.
I had to ask for one after I bought some stuff from a Canadian camera store. They had to get them from Pentax Canada. They filled it out and forwarded it on to me within a week. Be specific with your questions. I wouldn't be surprised if they had never hear of these things. BTW. The store I dealt with was Mcbain Camera (Red Deer outlet, Alberta) <http://www.mcbaincamera.com/digital/digitalpen.htm> I found them very helpful.
