Most of my exposures are in .DNG format. Bridge shows the lens info
in the "Camera Data (Exif)" panel ... for instance:
Lens : smc PENTAX-FA 50mm F1.4
Perhaps you don't have the right fields exposed in your preferences?
And remember that if you're using pre-F series lenses, there is no
lens info to show.
I am not exactly sure why this is so important. I don't think I've
ever actually looked at the lens info other than to respond to this
thread.
